Project Description

Since the first pitch in 1992, Kimball has been a part of the construction and renovation of Oriole Park. The ballpark requires ongoing alterations, renovation and “keeping up” with newer baseball venues. Kimball provided construction of the brick backstop retaining wall and was selected by Gilbane Building Company for a renovation eliminating 12 corporate suites and trimming more than 2,000 seats. The changes make room for larger seating and creating “viewing platforms” on the Club Level with bar stools and tables for fans. Kimball’s scope of work has included: structural demolition, hoisting sections of concrete out of the stadium, forming, placing rebar, pouring and finishing concrete for new “viewing platforms.”
