Project Description

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory selected Kimball Construction for this project because of its extensive experience in complex renovation projects in existing facilities with operation-critical production deadlines.

The project included demolition and new construction in an occupied, fully operational building. Work was performed simultaneously on the first and third floors in Building No. 24 on the JHU/APL Laurel Campus. Kimball’s scope of work included: demolition, site work, extensive mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades, interior fit-out, SCIF rooms, RF shielding and soundproof doors.
